Soapy Soap Company is committed to ensuring that your privacy is protected. Should we ask you to provide certain information by which you can be identified when using this website, then you can be assured that it will only be used in accordance with this privacy statement.

What we collect
We may collect the following information:
- name and job title
- contact information including email addresses and/or postal addresses
- demographic information such as postcode, preferences and interests
- other information relevant to customer surveys and/or offers
What we do with the information we gather
We require this information to understand your needs and provide you with a better service, and in particular for the following reasons:
- internal record keeping
- we may use the information to improve our products and services
- we may periodically send promotional emails about new products, special offers or other information which we think you may find interesting using the email address which you have provided
From time to time, we may also use your information to contact you. We may contact you by email, phone, mobile phone, fax, or mail. We may use the information to customize the website according to your interests. We will not sell, share, or lease your personal information (which includes your mobile phone contact information) to third parties unless we have your permission or are required by law to do so.
We utilize third party services to organize data for internal use, however, we will not provide this data to a third party for their benefit or gain. For example, we purchase and make use of Klaviyo services to organize customer email addresses and purchase information so we can send out emails and newsletters. Klaviyo does not sell or use this information to any third parties. The data provided to Klaviyo is still owned by us and kept secure by Klaviyo.
On the flip side, Facebook is a platform which relies on selling data, and thus we cannot maintain control as to what is done with personal data, if provided to them. We refuse and will not provide customer personal data, such as a list of customer email addresses, to Facebook for the purpose of getting your friends or friend's friend or friend's friend's friend data, also known as "Lookalike Audiences". We think that's a bit intrusive. This makes marketing difficult for us, but we value your privacy and hope that you will genuinely tell your friends about us. :-)
The information you provide may be used to fulfill your specific request(s). This information is only used to fulfill your specific request, unless you give us permission to use it in another manner.
To improve your MadOptimist.com experience, we may also occasionally employ code from inspectlet.com, another site which tracks user data such as mouse clicks, scrolling, and keystrokes. For more information, you can read the Inspectlet Privacy Policy. If you wish, you may choose to disable Inspectlet. As of 06/22/2022 we removed Inspectlet from our website code. We may need to reactivate Inspectlet when we make significant website changes, at which time we will edit this notation.
Security
We are committed to ensuring that your information is secure. In order to prevent unauthorized access or disclosure we have put in place suitable physical, electronic and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect online.
How we use cookies
We love cookies and eat them more than we should. Here's Anthony's Vegan Chocolate Chip Cookie recipe just because. . .
Ingredients:
- 2 1/4 cups flour
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup of vegan chocolate chips
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup almond milk or water
Mix all dry ingredients except for sugar. Mix sugar with wet ingredients. Add wet ingredients into dry ingredients, and mix well. Form into balls and place on lightly greased cookies sheet. Bake at 350 degrees F for 12 to 18 minutes. (Take cookies out when they feel a bit softer than you think they should be. They'll harden a bit as they cool.)
OK. But seriously. A cookie is a small file which asks permission to be placed on your computer's hard drive. Once you agree, the file is added and the cookie helps analyze web traffic or lets you know when you visit a particular site. Cookies allow web applications to respond to you as an individual. The web application can tailor its operations to your needs, likes and dislikes by gathering and remembering information about your preferences.
We use traffic log cookies to identify which pages are being used. This helps us analyze data about webpage traffic and improve our website in order to tailor it to customer needs. We only use this information for statistical analysis purposes and then the data is removed from the system. Overall, cookies help us provide you with a better website, by enabling us to monitor which pages you find useful and which you do not. A cookie in no way gives us access to your computer or any information about you, other than the data you choose to share with us.
You can choose to accept or decline cookies. Most web browsers automatically accept cookies, but you can usually modify your browser setting to decline cookies if you prefer. This may prevent you from taking full advantage of the website.
